Mill Street Loft project was approved by the Planning board of Hudson last night. The project is to be built on/in a flood area on parkland. This 70 unit project is too large to be put on a dead end street. If the area floods and one cannot exit on Second & Mill St.-people are asked to walk out on the empire bike trall to Harry Howard Ave. The much longed for housing is not for Hudson ONLY it is to be distributed by a lottery system that casts a large net for applicants. Only a very few spaces are available for the low income level tier--it was a surprise to many (including the planning board) that this was the case. Last night there were so many unanswered questions and concerns around this project that were stated YET the planning board-- led by Chairperson Joyner and her second in command Supervisor Martin were super eager to say it was YES to be supported by the board. Mill Street Lofts is a project that has divided the community once again. The Mayor & the Housing boss have done a great job in making sure we continue to be an odds with one another.

Photos of the people who actually live on Mill Street and gave strong evidence of their concerns (taken from Facebook). Thank you for speaking out.

Maybe it is time for new leadership...if the planning board is any indication of what's wrong with Hudson then it may behoove the citizens / taxpayers of Hudson to perk up and pay attention of what this administration has cost us. Depending on Gossips or face book or Reg Star is one way to be informed---BUT being in the room is the most important way to witness the chaos. Some projects drag on-- like Colarusso-- some fly thru like MILL STREET and some are asked to return again and again-- like the Boulevards and the--- 5 chickens pending approval for the new Preacher in Hudson....many board members are absent --some are new and have little time to be informed and the Chairperson struggles with rules of order....bottom line it is a portrait of our current administration in a nut shell.
